The brief
MDKG Group, based in Birkenhead, sells its own branded chargers and cables to shops and resellers. The model is deliberately simple: one published price for everyone, with a minimum order of ten per product. The website had to make that simplicity obvious, make buying in quantity quick, and give the team one place to run orders, stock and customers.
Buying, made quick
- Prices on every product. No “call for a quote”, no trade login to see what things cost.
- Guest checkout first. No account needed. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe.
- Bulk ordering. Add many products at once, or upload a CSV, with every line checked before it reaches the basket.
- Optional accounts for regular buyers: order history, invoices, saved addresses, favourites, saved lists and one-click reorders.
An AI sales assistant that knows when to help
An on-site assistant behaves like a good salesperson rather than a pop-up. It offers help after someone has been browsing for a while, when they’re about to leave with a full basket, and straight after a failed or abandoned payment, which is exactly when a buyer is most likely to drop off. It recommends products and passes leads to the team.
It’s the same thinking behind our AI implementation work: put AI where it changes an outcome, and keep it out of the way everywhere else.
The back office
Behind the store is a full admin area: a dashboard, products and variants, categories, inventory, orders with fulfilment, tracking and refunds, customers, promotions, site content, settings, reports and leads. The team runs the business from it without needing a developer for day-to-day changes.
Built properly
It’s a modern, fast build with automated tests covering the store and checkout, secure payments handled entirely by Stripe, and order emails sent automatically. If you’re weighing up an off-the-shelf shop against something built around how you sell, our guide to build or buy sets out the questions to ask.
Common questions
Can customers buy without creating an account?+
Yes. Guest checkout is the default, with card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Accounts are optional and add order history, invoices and one-click reorders.
Can the team manage products and orders themselves?+
Yes. Products, stock, orders, refunds, promotions and site content are all managed from the admin area.
How much does a store like this cost?+
It depends on the number of products and features. Start a short brief, choose Website and then E-commerce, and we’ll reply with a fixed price for exactly what you need, usually the same day.
